You’ve got your precious insulated stainless steel water bottle in your hands, and you’ve quickly become accustomed to using it every morning on your way to work for a leak-proof commute, plus every afternoon for a pick-me-up that you know won’t spill on your work computer. But now that you have that magical spill-proof stainless steel water bottle, how do you take care of it properly?
It’s a question we get asked frequently, so we thought it was about time for us to give you a complete guide to caring for your stainless steel water bottle. Here’s what you need to know.
How to Clean Your Stainless Steel Water Bottle
You’ll need the following:
Immediately after that last sip of coffee, rinse the stainless steel water bottle lid using warm water. Make sure you open the spout to ensure water goes through every nook and cranny (for example, snap the Snapseal lid open while rinsing, and press and hold the AUTOSEAL button while rinsing). If you have a stainless steel water bottle with an easy-clean lid, make sure to flip the mechanism open for even easier rinsing.
Next, soak the lid for about ten minutes in hot, soapy tap water. Using your cleaning brush, wash the inside of the stainless steel water bottle using warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse both the lid and the body thoroughly.
To dry, place the lid and the body upside-down on a dish towel on your counter. Let air dry overnight. We recommend always storing your stainless steel water bottle with its lid removed so parts can dry completely.
After cleaning, return the lid interior to its closed position before use.

Allow the mixture to bubble. When the foaming dies down, put the lid on and shake the container to coat the inside of the stainless steel water bottle with the mixture.
